Joanna Desiderio

Greeting you with her beautiful smile and incredible warmth as a Resource Specialist, Joanna plays a key role in ensuring that CAVE continues to excel! She brings with her a Diploma in Business Administration, six years of office experience and extensive service background. Her proactive approach and her sincere passion for helping others make her ideal for this unique role. She is always ready to answer any of your questions and offer you the best service possible either over the phone or in person. In addition to her knowledge, experience and skills, her amazing cooking abilities are also appreciated by all of us at the CAVE and we always look forward to trying her next sensational cooking creation!

Shifana Zaver

Fully equipped with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from SFU and a diploma in Employment Counselling, Shifana brings a sincere passion to help others succeed in achieving their career goals as a Case Manager at The CAVE. Her addictive smile, contagious enthusiasm and her love for music make her an extraordinary co-worker. She specializes in providing in-house and outreach workshops designed to enhance our members' self-marketing skills. Her interactive approach to facilitation makes attending her workshops a very enjoyable experience.

Sharon Young

With her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a Diploma of Technology in Business Adminstration, Sharon brings to the CAVE extensive employment counselling/social services and business experience and a broad perspective in working with youth, immigrants, women and professionals. As a Career Resource Specialist, she has comprehensive experience working with private and public sector employers and has a wealth of knowledge and expertise to share with our members. She also specializes in creating workshops and organizing the resources for the centre. Her great sense of humour, her unique ability to connect with others, her caring personality and professionalism is admired by all of our members and her peers.

Pam Khinda

Pam, a Case Manager / Employment Services Advisor at the CAVE, is known for her contagious smile and her unique ability to connect and motivate our members. Enthusiastic and fun-loving with a passion for helping others, Pam is an excellent and highly valuable contribution to the CAVE team. With a Bachelor of Arts degree, a Bachelor of Education degree and ten years of experience in the Employment Counselling industry under her belt, Pam is highly qualified for her position. As the energetic in-house lotto ringleader, she has the ability to put a smile on anyone's face.

Tim Blake

Tim, known for his quirky sense of humour and fantastic dance moves, is a valuable addition to the CAVE team. Tim wears two hats at the CAVE: as the Event Coordinator, he is responsible for organizing career fairs, employer panels and any other special events hosted at the centre. As a Case Manager he assists our members in finding work. With a diploma in business marketing and ten years of experience in the Employment Services industry, he has worked in a variety of different sales and marketing positions and will tantalize you with his tales of some of his first jobs. With Tim at the CAVE, no food is safe.

Colleen Avery

The CAVE's perpetually cheery and sociable Supervisor/ Community Liaison is excellent at the work she does. Always detail oriented and organized, our fearless leader keeps the rest of the CAVE team on track and ensures things get done. With fifteen years of experience working in the Employment Services industry with multi-barriered clients, a diploma in employment counselling, a diploma in Computer Information Systems and a Registered Rehabilitation Professional (RRP) designation, she brings a lot of knowledge and experience to the CAVE. And, just in case you wondered, Colleen is the face to the voice on our answering machine!
